There are a lot of reasons why you would want a private phone system for your business, but unless you’ve had one installed before, you probably don’t know a ton about how they work. Here at Lanstar Systems Inc., we’ve helped hundreds of business owners in Maryland with their private company phone lines, and we can help you too!
This is a cloud-based phone system. Calls are made on a hosted VoIP system and pass through your provider’s server. This technology is newer and is used mostly by small and medium sized businesses, as most of the maintenance for your system can be performed by your service provider. This will save you money on having to maintain your own IT department.
Instead of being hosted in the cloud, like a hosted VoIP is, on-premise VoIPs are located on physical hardware in your office. Many larger businesses opt for an on-premise VoIP due to it being more customizable, and since most larger companies already have an IT department, they don’t have to worry about added maintenance costs.
There is no correct answer to this question, both hosted and on-premise VoIPs have their benefits. Which one you should choose depends entirely on what kind of business you run, and how you run your business. Things like the size of your business, what you want the system to do, and how you plan on growing your business should all be taken into account when considering which type of private phone system, you should install in your Maryland business.
Deciding how to go about building a new structured cabling system can be an impossible task unless you work with an experienced and professional cabling company in Maryland. We have worked with hundreds of companies, small, medium, and large, across a spectrum of industries. If you’re interested in learning how you could benefit from having a new private phone system installed in your business, give us a call!
